Presentation locations
Humanities Day events are held in different rooms and lecture halls of the UChicago Hyde Park campus. Each room assignment will be listed next to the presentation a few weeks before Humanities Day and included in your registration confirmation email.

Humanities Day Shuttle Bus
A complimentary shuttle bus service will be available to all Humanities Day attendees, providing transportation between event locations. You can hop on and off at any moment of the day at the locations listed below.
The bus will depart Logan Center for the Arts at 12:10 p.m. after the keynote session concludes and will drive through the locations below throughout the day until 6 p.m. It will have a Humanities Day sign on the side door.
After departing the Logan Center, the bus driver will announce each stop as follows:
Levi Hall: This is your stop if you are going to Crerar Library (Weston Game Lab), Harper Memorial Library, or Stuart Hall.
Smart Museum: Smart Museum.
Regenstein Library: This is your stop if you are going to the Regenstein Library or to the Neubauer Collegium.
Booth (Harper Center), 5807 S Woodlawn Ave. This is your stop if you are going to ISAC. The door is in the west side of the street, heading southbound.
Logan Center: Logan Center.
On the day of the event, students and staff working Humanities Day will be happy to assist you with additional shuttle bus information.

Public Transportation Options to the University of Chicago Campus on Saturdays
CTA Rail System
• Red and Green lines run close to campus. When using these rail lines, take the #55 CTA bus route to and from the Garfield Station. The Red and Green lines travel to the downtown Loop area, where it is easy to transfer to another train or bus.

Metra
The Metra Electric District Line runs through Hyde Park and can be accessed at several train stations and connects to several CTA bus routes.
• 59th Street Station: use CTA routes #6, #15, and #28 to go between campus and the stop
• 57th Street Station: use CTA routes #6, #15, and #28 to go between campus and the stop
• 55th–56th–57th Street Station: use CTA routes #6, #15, #28, #55, and #171 to go between campus and the stop
• 51st–53rd Street Station: use CTA routes #6, #15, #28, #171, and #172 to go between campus and the stop

South Shore Line (Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District)
This commuter rail line provides service between the South Bend (Indiana) Airport and Millennium Station in downtown Chicago. To access campus, use the 57th Street Metra station.

CTA Buses
Several CTA buses serve the University of Chicago campus.
• #6 Jackson Park Express: must transfer to CTA #171 at the intersection of South Hyde Park Boulevard and 53rd Street; operates daily.
• #15 Jeffery Local: operates daily from 5 a.m. to 1:18 a.m.
• #28 Stony Island: must transfer to CTA #172 at the intersection of East Hyde Park Boulevard (51st Street) and Lake Park Avenue; operates daily.
• #55 Garfield: if traveling on the Green and Red lines, use this bus to get to and from campus; operates daily.

Free Street Parking and Paid Parking
Stuart Hall, the headquarters for Humanities Day, is located at 5835 S. Greenwood Ave., Chicago, IL 60637. You will find free parking on Midway Plaisance on both the east and west directional boulevards, as well as on 59th and 60th Streets on a first-come first-served basis.
Logan Center for the Arts has a free parking lot at the corner of Drexel Avenue and 60th Street and a paid parking lot at Drexel Avenue and 61st Street.
Paid Visitor Parking
Several options exist around campus for visitor parking. These lots include: Young, Chapin, Dorchester, and the community lot at the corner of East 60th Street and Stony Island Avenue. The visitor parking rate at University-operated lots is $4 an hour.
Temporary parking permits must be obtained for all guests or visitors parking in permit spaces with varied prices to apply. Visitors may only park at the location designated on the temporary permit. If the parking assignment designation is “various,” the holder may only park in non-gated lots.
Mobile Payment Parking
The University offers a mobile payment solution for visitor parking in the following lots: McGiffert, Wells, Chapin, Young, and Dorchester. Payments can be made by downloading the Passport app from the app store or the Google Play store; through the website ppprk.com or m.ppprk.com from a mobile device; or with any type of phone by calling 312.273.5691. Signs in these lots provide more specific information necessary to complete the mobile payment process.
